The ancient stones were smooth beneath her soles, the once jagged and sharp edges had been worn down over the centuries of time till they were nothing more than rounded edges that offered a threat of massage rather than anything dangerous. Inhaling a deep breath the pale woman crinkled her nose; the air certainly had changed. No longer did it carry the scent of lavender and honey suckle but instead was infused with the reek of thousands of tourists and their endless stream of garbage. Humans. Encased in the ethereal glow of the moon the young woman rolled her eyes, her soundless steps carrying her forward like a ghost moving through the plains, as she trespassed deeper into the enchanted bowl.

Of course, like many of her kind, she remembered things a little... different. Dropping the five inch stiletto's to the man made rock next to her feet Miela freed up her hands, her palms finding their way to the cold metal of the railing that circled the first tier. There was a time when this place glittered in both moonlight and sunlight, the walls reinforced with hand crafted gold, the structure flawless in not only structure but versatility. Closing her eyes she leaned forward, her flat belly pressing to the wall permeating the thin white material of her cocktail dress with the temperature of the night air, as she imagined she could almost hear the roar of the crowd and smell the sweat brought on by the temperatures.

Sliding her eyelids back, her violet eyes adjusting easily to the dim lighting, Miela smirked as she stepped back from the wall leaving behind the visions of the past that floated before her. At least the clothing had come a long way, she thought with more than a little amusement as she ran her fingers down the sides of her dress giving it a tug of adjustment. A lot could be said for that.

And the fact that people showered on a daily basis. Everyone should be thankful for that. Especially those with the more sensitive noses.
